OUR HISTORY

In the early 1950’s my father purchased a plot of land across the street from his home in Lexington. Our first two cypress wood greenhouses were disassembled from Flint Farm in Lincoln, MA, moved to Lexington, and were rebuilt here. They are still in operation today.

My father, grandfather, mother, and his brothers all helped construct additional greenhouses and a home here in Lexington. Andy and after WWII, his brother Paul became business partners. Over the years they employed local men and during the summer months High School teenagers. My brothers Tom, Gerry and Bob worked to learn the greenhouse business from a young age. In the 70’s potted plants became popular, and Andy converted greenhouses to adapt to trends and demand. Decades of successful flower growing and numerous awards later, my father passed and then later my Uncle Paul.

In the 2000’s, Gerry diversified production and I became the Lexington greenhouse grower and manager. Soon an experimental lavender crop became profitable and is sold to local food markets today.
